Summary

Lidl and Kaufland Asia are hiring Production Support Engineer to join our Production Support - Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for below tasks,

  • Supports the management of the critical path by defending the pre production line

  • Drive the most cost effective, quality controlled,  on time production through key building blocks like handover meetings, Pre Production meetings, inspection report analysis, Corrective Action Plans, risk analysis, production status monitoring and follow up

What you'll do

  • Ensures all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies

  • Defend the PP Line by working as far back as Order Confirmation stage to ensure the process starts on time

  • Work across functions to ensure sampling is completed in line with agreed factory TnA

  • Own mass production start date and follow up

  • Sound knowledge of inspections for Hardgoods products including hardgoods production process of those items

  • Provide manufacturing technical support and procedures to improve quality levels, reduce manufacturing costs and improve production efficiencies when identified 

  • Able to ascertain ‘true bottleneck or issues’ and set up improvement plans with any factory

  • Notify key stakeholders of any major or critical production and quality issues identified 

  • Works closely with QA team to resolve any critical or major issues found during testing

  • Conducts and or supports when required Pre-Production meetings in factory

  • Work closely with our agencies and QC’s in all countries to ensure they follow the aligned way of working and hold factories to those requirements  

  • Perform unannounced audits and inspections when requested and issue CAP’s

What you'll need

  • Diploma or degree in in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • 3 years relevant experience in Quality roles and factory inspection practice is an added ad-vantage. 

  • Possess strong technical expertise in variety of hardgoods

  • Autonomous, proactive, detailed and commercially minded

  • High degree of work ethic and integrity

  • Good command of both spoken and written English and fluent in Mandarin. Additional languages is an advantage

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications especially Excel, Word & Powerpoint

  • Ocassional travel may be required
