Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring Senior Quality Consultant / Quality Consultant to join our quality assurance power tools team. The successful candidate will be responsible for below tasks,

•    Liaise on issues and product requirements related to the 3rd party laboratory testing in Europe, Asia and USA of related product groups

•    Support the Quality Assurance, Merchandising and Production Team on all product and quality requirements of related products.

•    Provide support and direction to the team

What you'll do

•    Ensure sample inspections/testing and reports are completed within target time

•    Responsible for arranging samples to be sent to external warehouse or testing laboratory once evaluation completed, ensure samples organized on shelves or allotted area

•    Carry out checks on artwork i.e. packaging\manuals\labelling

•    Initiate the product certification process with testing laboratories (e.g. GS mark, Quality Test Marks etc.) 

•    Deal with (In-line) comments from Head Office – check, review and propose response, where applicable

•    Arrange and assess retest once the improved sample is available

•    Clarify the testing issues with external laboratory

•    Review and discuss (where applicable) CAP report with Production Team and suppliers

•    Advise/discuss with the superior the critical and major issues related to projects

•    Ensure all critical and major issues in own area being raised and discussed; seek further advice from appropriate team members

•    Handle laboratory test quotation issues and discuss with the superior for confirmation

•    Create test failure analysis and communicate recommendations to suppliers

•    Ideate product improvements and present them to relevant stakeholders

•    Maintain a positive communication culture with all stakeholders and act solution oriented

•    Ensure and be able to have face to face discussion with related parties and work on agreed instant solution whenever possible

•    Update and recalculate the testing and production schedule and inform all relevant stakeholders

•    Update the Merchandising Team on safety/quality issues directly related to project particularly causing delays

•    Monitor the schedule and review on the document/report (Test order, sample review report, DCL, Certification)

•    Attend Kick-off meetings

•    Attend weekly Critical Path Management meeting

•    Review and submit shipment release documents to Quality Assurance Manager/Technical Manager for release

•    Develop and train team junior team members

•    Travel is required for this role

What you'll need

•    Minimum of 3 - 4 years of work experience  in a Quality Assurance / QC / Engineer position  

•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master's degree or equivalent of an advantage in field of engineering, hardgoods or related discipline

•    Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin required, German of an advantage

•    Factory inspection practice in an international sourcing company is an advantage

•    Possess strong technical expertise in hardgoods products

•    Knowledge of work flow of a trading, buying or sourcing office

•    Good understanding of hardgoods mass production manufacturing procedures

•    Experience in 3rd party testing laboratory with Retailer exposure

•    Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills required, advanced Power Point skills of an advantage
