Quality Consultant - Food / Near Food

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring a Quality Consultant to join our quality assurance near food team. The successful candidate will be responsible for below tasks,
Food / Near Food:
Manage independently technical and QA aspects of foods/near food sourced by Lidl & Kaufland Asia
Monitor and implement quality assurance activities
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the QA – Food/Near Food department systems and procedures, whilst maintaining an efficient low cost model
What you'll do
Work with International colleagues to define the testing protocol for food/near food projects.
Ensure that the outcome of the product / food safety risk assessment are implemented with the suppliers.
Develop testing protocols aimed to verify regulatory compliance in the selling markets
Coordinate and follow up with suppliers and laboratories to carry out sampling, inspection, testing and reporting.
Take responsibility for managing and reviewing the quality of products, through data analysis and scheduled quality assessments.
Establish documented quality standards.
Develop and maintain product specifications for projects.
Review the testing reports and all documentation for product release
Conduct Sample Seal and Approval, Product Assessment and Sensory Report to ensure product meets our quality standard;
Investigate and respond to product complaints / deviations by liaising with relevant parties
Travel is required for this role
What you'll need
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of work experience in the Food related business
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master's degree or equivalent of an advance in the field of food science, food technology, microbiology or related field
Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin required, German of an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office is required
