Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring Interns to join our Merchandising and Product Development (DIY & Garden) team. The successful candidate will be assigned to either one function and be responsible for below task(s):  

  • Assist and support daily Product Development and Merchandising operations.
  • Research and support in strategic project for the team. 

 

What you'll do

Merchandising  

  • Support in contributes on the evaluation and monitor the factories for continuous improvement and business development 
  • Assist Follow up on the sampling process  
  • Assist on quotations, price analysis 
  • Assist handle ad hoc assignments when required.  

 

Product Development 

  • Support Conduct research regarding new relevant technologies and products 
  • Support Conduct research on assortments and benchmark studies 
  • Support carryout design supporting project such as Rendering / commenting projects 
  • Assist in gather / analysis data for processes / strategy projects 
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials (ppt, excel, pdf) 
  • Assist with showroom set up  
  • Handle ad hoc assignments when required.  

What you'll need

  • Our internships for Hong Kong residents are open to university and college students from Hong Kong who have not yet graduated. 
  • College or Bachelor Degree in technical area 
  • 2:1 degree or higher or a GPA of at least 3.0. 
  • Have an interest in working within the dynamic sourcing industry, product development or Merchandising 
  • Creative, proactive and committed to working in a dynamic environment.  
  • Detail-oriented, self motivated, great organisation skills. 
  • Proficient in MS Office. 
  • Proficient and experienced in the use of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (Solidworks or similar CAD software will be a plus) 
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.  
  • Good team player.
