Internship in Sustainability

Last Friday marked my last day as a Summer Intern under Sustainability and Compliance Department at Lidl & Kaufland Asia Pte. Limited. I am thrilled to share my fruitful and knowledgeable adventure that I had during this 8-weeks internship. This experience was incredibly enriching, it had deepened my understanding of how can sustainability incorporate into a supply chain industry.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to engage in several meaningful projects. For examples, designing and publishing a corporate sustainability baseline assessment to assess environmental and corporate sustainability behaviours of L&K Asia offices, researching and drafting corporate activities related to climate and biodiversity protection, diversity and inclusion for L&K Asia annual sustainability campaign “LIDL YOU” and assisting in data cleansing and inputting for Tier 2 suppliers’ traceability. These tasks have enhanced my knowledge on sustainability in real-world scenarios. The skills and lessons I've acquired here will undoubtedly stay with me as I move forward in my career.

I also want to thank the entire team for welcoming me with open arms, for sharing your expertise, and for making this internship a rewarding and memorable experience. Each one of you has played a valuable role in shaping my understanding of sustainability in supply chain industry. Thank you for giving me confidence and trust when handling tasks and always willing to teach me when I curious about things . I am truly feeling grateful to have encountered such a friendly and lovely team.

For my next step, I will continue my final year study at The University of Hong Kong in the coming academic year. I am looking forward to apply what I have learnt at Lidl & Kaufland Asia into my studies and my future journey.
