Welcome to the Lidl & Kaufland Asia Supplier Network

We source a wide range of hard goods, textiles and food products from more than 13 countries across Asia. Our approach to sourcing business is governed by our Code of Conduct, which outlines basic principles governing the cooperation with business partners. Our basic principles emphasize the importance of social and environmental sustainability when engaging with our business partners, as well as those across the wider supply chain.

Asia Sourcing for Global Business

Established in 2006, Lidl & Kaufland Asia is a sourcing arm for Lidl International, a Germany-headquartered discount retailer chain. Our operation has grown from 30 people in our Hong Kong office to a centralised supply chain network in Asia with more than 1,000 employees. Our Singapore office plays the strategic role as the headquarter in Asia, whereas our branch office in Hong Kong and further offices in China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam are responsible for supporting our business within the region. Today, the company works with over 600 factories, producing over 200 product categories under the broad categories Textiles, Hardgoods, Food and Near Food.

Performance, quality and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do, and we share our principles with our suppliers. Our internal compliance teams visit factories across the region and work closely with vendors to monitor quality and compliance.

We believe in building long-standing working relations with our partners. We empower small and medium manufacturing companies by helping them to develop their facilities and increase their efficiency. All the factories we work with comply with BSCI, BetterWork and/or SA8000 regulations, which ensure all suppliers are treating workers ethically and legally without exploiting child labour, excessive overtime, unfair wages, hazardous working conditions or engage in any other inhumane treatment.

We are proud to source products with an optimal price-quality ratio without compromising social responsibility. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder to grow responsibly with our business partners.
