Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia is hiring a Trade Finance Manager specialised in and responsible for all matters related to Letters of Credit (L/C). The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
•    Manage Bank Relationships in relations to L/C
•    Handle Standby /Documentary L/C as per business requirement
•    Arrange all L/C related payments

What you'll do

  • Ensure that the deals allocated to each bank is duly process on a timely basis 
  • Prepare and ensure timely issuance of import L/C and provide necessary assistance when required.
  • Coordinate with banks, merchandisers, or suppliers to confirm on the L/C format, 
  • Preparation of application documentations 
  • Manage amendments to L/C as and when required
  • Ensure the accuracy of timely reporting and update of business activities, reflecting L/C movements, payments, and expenditures
  • Timely access and update of the related trade information on CBX system
  • Working closely with the functional team on allocation/utilization of trade facilities
  • Support the delivery of internal and external audit requirements
  • Handle ad hoc assignments as required

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accountancy, Banking & Finance or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of related experience in Trade Finance and in-depth knowledge of documentary handling for Letter of Credit in trading industry
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Well-versed in incoterms and shipping documentation
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
