Summary
Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring Senior Quality Consultant in our quality assurance (household) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas,
• Liaise on quality issues and product requirements related to the 3rd party laboratory testing in Europe, Asia and USA of household items (kitchenware, tableware, cookware etc.)
• Support the Quality Assurance and Production Team on all product and quality requirements of related products.
• Ensure the product compliance of Lidl and Legal requirement
• Provide support and direction to the quality team
What you'll do
• Sample Inspection: Ensure sample inspections and reports are completed within a target time. Communicate with supplier to improve the product quality if necessary.
• Product testing: Arrange testing to ensure the product with sufficient reports / documents to prove its product safety and compliance of Lidl & Legal requirement.
• QA Warehouse\samples: Responsible for arranging samples to be sent to external warehouse or testing laboratory, ensure samples are well organized.
• To ensure all critical and major issues in own area being raised and discussed; seek further advice from appropriate team members
• Communication: Ensure more face to face discussion; greater use of phone conference with related parties and agreed instant solution whenever possible.
• Laboratory test quotation issues and discuss with QAM for confirmation
• Attend Kick-off meetings to provide a clear Lidl & Legal requirement to supplier
• Test failure analysis and recommendations to factory
- Arrange retest once the improved sample available
- Update and recalculate the schedule and inform the merchandiser
- Review and discuss (where applicable) CAP report with Production
- Clarify the testing issues with external laboratory
- Update merchandising team on safety/quality issues directly related to project particularly causing delays
• Monitor the schedule and review on the document/report (Test order, sample review report, DCL, Certification)
• Advise/discuss with QAM / Technical Manager the critical and major issues related to projects
• Work with QAM / Technical Manager on additional internal projects i.e. data analysis, SOP’s, Guide for use by factory/production and within QA etc
• Review or if applicable release shipment release documents
What you'll need
• Degree holder or relevant level of experience
• Minimum 5 – 7 years relevant experience in Quality Assurance / QC position and factory inspection practice in international sourcing company is an advantage
• Possess strong technical expertise in hard-line or hard-goods products, especailly household items (kitchenware, tableware, cookware etc.)
• Detail orientated
• High degree of work ethics and integrity
• A can-do attitude is a must
• Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Cantonese, both spoken and written
• PC knowledge is essential
• Travel is required
