Lidl are now hiring a Senior Quality Manager to lead the QA team on all related matters. You will support the QA and Production team on all product and quality requirements and liase on issues regarding product improvements prior to mass production with the Merchandising team.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the quality of goods

  • Responsible for ensuring the teams are running sample control and movement

  • Maintain a positive communcation culture with all stakeholders and act solution oriented

  • Beeing responsible for testing budgets

  • Responsible for ensuring correct follow up by Team Leaders in relation to test failure analysis and recommendations to factory by the team

  • Monitor the daily roles of QA staff on behalf of Quality Director Hardgoods, advise of any weaknesses and areas of improvement

  • Advise/discuss with Quality Director Hardgoods on the critical issues related to projects to ensure projects continue to progress in a timely manner

  • Work with Quality Director Hardgoods and cross-functional teams on additional internal projects i.e. data analysis, SOP’s, Guide for use by factory/production and within QA etc.

  • Assessment of staff capabilities and progress

What you'll need

  1. Minimum 7 years relevant experience in Quality Assurance position for European retail market or experience in the 3rd party testing laboratory.
  2. Strong leadership experience of team size 30+ 
  3. Engineer/Science degree or strong technical expertise on hard-line or hard-goods products, especially Small Domestic Appliances product group and power tools
  4. Knowledge of European Safety standard, i.e.: EN 60335 Part 1 and Part 2 and Fit For Use Test
  5. A can-do attitude is a must
  6. PC knowledge is essential
  7. Travel is required
  8. German language skills would be beneficial
