Summary

Lidl are looking for a Senior Production Support Operations Manager to deliver the Production and Quality Control department’s strategy and projects. The successful incumbent will ensure production, quality control, and compliance & sustainability operational processes are achieved right the first time to ensure DIFOT to OWIM FOB date.

What will you do?

  • Assist Line Manager in developing and implementing agreed strategy across all responsible teams

  • Assist Line Manager in setting and managing department budgets, whilst also identifying opportunities for cost saving and tracking those initiatives

  • Based on the agreed strategies, develop, and deploy best practice processes and operational guidelines to internal and external parties, ensuring one way of working across all teams

  • Monitor compliance of internal and external stakeholders to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), ensuring department meets all audit requirements

  • Manage, execute, and report on pipeline of departmental projects and those non-departmental projects as required by the business

  • Proactively define, build, analyse and deploy, via traffic light reporting, operational KPI’s as defined to internal and external parties

  • Lead monthly Production Support Management meetings whereby continual analysis is presented to drive improvements in quality and Delivered In Full On Time (DIFOT)

  • Shine light where operational efficiencies and critical path inefficiencies occur

  • Support the Production and Quality Control Co-ordinators to ensure process is effective and streamlined  

  • Develop analytical reports and presentation desks for fortnightly 1:1 discussions and general review

  • Reports on quality levels and DIFOT by General Manager - Production Support with improvement plans with factories and suppliers to drive improvements of Critical Path Management

  • Key owner of driving Excel based operations to automated CBX operations

  • Ensure the TnA is set up correctly and timely for each Selection

  • Action ad-hoc requests timely and proactively

What will you need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, Operations, or Business

  • Minimum 5 years of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Vendor Forecasting, or Business Management

  • 5 years’ experience in a direct sourcing office or model for a sizable company with at least 3 years’ experience in a managerial level

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously with complex and demanding deadlines

  • Good command in English, whilst Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and German are advantageous

  • Exceptional communications, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications like Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience working across and successfully influencing multiple internal stakeholders (Operations, IT development, supply chain, finance, legal, etc.)

  • Ability to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner

  • A positive and proactive can-do attitude with entrepreneurial spirit is a must

  • A leader by example is key
