Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring a Senior Merchandiser in our Housewares team. The successful candidate will be responsible for below tasks,

  • Monitor the whole order process from end to end

  • Supports Line Manager 

  • Negotiation with suppliers to achieve department turnover and margin targets as defined by headquarters

What you'll do

 

  • Contributes on the evaluation and monitor the factories for continuous improvement and business development

  • Work closely with product development team on development and supports the follow up on the sampling process 

  • Manage quotations, price analysis and price negotiations with supplier within the negotiation parameters set by Headquarters

  • Help to manage the order allocation process within the department strategy and the set framework from Headquarters

  • Monitors the end to end process and critical path management within the merchandising team and through day to day liaison with supply chain and supporting departments 

What you'll need

  • Tertiary level education

  • Extensive Merchandising experience 

  • Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin, additional languages would be beneificial 

  • Strong negotiator with a commercial mindset.

  • Proactively anticipate issues and provide problem solving wherever necessary

  • Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility in work style to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines.

  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to seek advise when required

  • Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel and Power Point)
