Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring a Production Support Engineer in our production support department - Household team. The successful candidate will be responsible to drive the most cost effective, quality controlled,  on time production through key building blocks like PP meetings, CAPs, team training and support.

What you'll do

•    Ensures all production occurs in line with Lidl’s strict Ethical Sourcing Policies

•    Ensure Kick off form for each IAN confirmed in each Selection is accurate and correct

•    Receive, upload and review weekly production schedules from suppliers

•    Liase with QC Officers and suppliers on capacity planning / schedules

•    Provide weekly in production traffic light reporting to MM & GM’s

•    Notify key stakeholders of any major or critical production and quality issues identified 

•    Works closely with QA team to resolve any critical or major issues found during production

•    Supports or conducts when required Pre-Production meetings in factory  

•    Provide manufacturing technical support and procedure to reduce manufacturing costs and / or improve quality levels and production efficiency when identified 

•    Perform unannounced audits and inspections when requested

•    Perform Lidl factory evaluations, implement and control CAPs

What you'll need

•    Diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or at least 2 years’ experience in a QA/QC role in the required product category

•    Experience in tableware/ Cookware is an advantage.

•    Possess strong leadership & managerial skills with sound problem solving techniques

•    Autonomous, proactive, detailed and commercially minded

•    Good command of both spoken and written English and fluent in Mandarin

•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications especially Excel & Word

•    Travel is required
