Summary
The goal of this position is to enable the organization to increase the use of BI tools and support Business Controlling on reporting and planning infrastructure. This requires an analytical, results-driven professional who can design, develop and implement BI/dashboards; and strong communication and collaboration skills to translate requirements into solutions.
What you'll do
This role resides in the Controlling Solutions team and works closely with the team leader, end users, IT and wider Business Controlling team on the following:
BI Tool Development:
- Interface with the organization to define data, reporting and dashboard requirements
- Understand impacts on database structures and work with IT to deliver solutions
- Develop dashboards and reports using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) BI tool
- Conduct testing with end users and ensure data quality in production
- Be an expert in BI, advise best practices on data governance and report development
- Monitor BI usage, drive user-engagement and deliver training initiatives
- Improve efficiency of managed systems (operational, financial budgeting/reporting)
- Build in-depth knowledge of relevant IT systems
Budgeting and Reporting:
- Support financial reporting and budgeting infrastructure
- Be part of the report preparation process for financial and operational results
- Provide business insights; suggest and define operational KPIs
- Support ad hoc analysis required for business review, prepare PowerPoint presentations
What you'll need
- Degree holder, major in IT, Business, Accounting & Finance or other related discipline
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle BI or other BI systems
- Advanced skills in Excel (VBA) and relational databases/SQL. Alteryx is a bonus
- A minimum of 3 years relevant professional work experience
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Independent, proactive and well organised with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Good communication & influencing skills, fluent in English
- Familiar with financial systems such as SAP. Knowledge of Essbase is a bonus
- Microsoft Powerpoint to prepare compelling presentations
