Summary

Lidl are hiring an Assistant Tax Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all taxation reports, issues, and enquiries.

What will you do?

  • Administering all tax compliance matters, including Corporate tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing and Withholding Tax.
  • Cover multiple regions across Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore, China & Bangladesh.
  • Ensure all corporate tax returns and withholding taxes are prepared, reviewed and submitted accurately and on schedule.
  • Responsible for managing TP (transfer pricing) documentation requirements.
  • Assess uncertain tax positions for reporting.
  • Ensure compliance to Lidl Asia’s tax risk management and transfer pricing policies.
  • Manage year-end tax provision and deferred tax calculation.
  • Responsible for tax incentive management.
  • Review quarterly VAT/GST returns and manage VAT/GST schemes.
  • Manage the resolution of tax audits and controversies.
  • Working with management on the structure of transactions to achieve tax efficiency.
  • Provide project support
  • Work with HQ to fulfill various tasks and reporting requirements
  • Manage the design and administration of the Tax Ledger
  • Update management on the latest tax development
  • Enhance tax work process and effciency

 

What will you need?

  • University graduate in Tax, Accounting or Finance
  • Recognized professional tax and/or accounting qualification is a must
  • Minimum 7 years working experience in taxation
  • Experience in Big 4 and/or MNC is preferred
  • Detailed minded, strong analytical skills with extensive experience and knowledge of Hong Kong and Singapore tax
  • Experience and knowledge of China tax and international tax is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of the German language is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience of working with accounting systems - knowledge of SAP is an advantage
