Lidl and Kaufland Asia is hiring a (Assistant) Product Developer to join our Textile Kidswear Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Product Development Manager in managing the overall product development process from concept, design through to sample creation in accordance with the company's strategic planning.

What you'll do

  • Perform a range of research into new trends, innovation and product ideas
  • Seasonal presentations of design developments, updates and innovation from trend to product 
  • Create mood boards, artworks, product design overviews and tech packs
  • Select appropriate trim and fabric, updating internal libraries seasonally
  • Liaise with QA department to ensure right fit of the garment
  • Liaise with Merchandising team to finalise product designs ready for sample launch

What you'll need

  • Degree in fashion design/ product design/ graphics design or related disciplines 
  • Strong graphic skills for artwork creation
  • Experience in tech packs generation is ideal
  • Skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are essential 
  • 3D design skills is an advantage 
  • Minimum 3 years of product development experience 
  • Good sense of typography, strong fashion sense, design talent and creativity
  • Proactive and committed to working in a dynamics environment 
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation 
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
