Summary
The objectives of the position are:
- Assist in the maintenance of accounting records and proper legal filings
- Setting up smooth workflow and guidelines for overseas accounting function
- Taking care of GAAP differences between German GAAP and local GAAP
What you'll do
- Assist in the day-to-day accounting operation of Singapore and local offices
- Assist in the implementation of financial policies and internal controls
- Fixed Assets Management; ensure proper control and custody and reporting of assets
- Oversee Receivables Management
- Review work processes across multiple entities in Asia
- Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly reconciled and accounted for.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on financial and tax matters.
- Handle ad hoc projects and assignments as required
What you'll need
- University graduate in Accounting or Finance, ACCA
- Recognized professional accounting qualification is a must
- Minimum 7 years accounting working experience and 2 years supervisory experience
- Experience in accounting system and/or auditing experience
- Strong analytical mind
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Hands-on experience in SAP is a must
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills is a must
- Language skills in Mandarin and/or Cantonese a bonus to liaise with Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking only stakeholders
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Occasional travel is required
