Summary
Established in 2006, Lidl & Kaufland Asia is a sourcing arm for Lidl International, a Germany-headquartered discount retailer chain. Our operation has grown from 30 people in our Hong Kong office to a centralized supply chain network in Asia with over 1,000 employees. Today, our Singapore office plays the strategic role as the headquarters in Asia, whereas our branch office in Hong Kong and further offices in China and Bangladesh are responsible for supporting our business within the region. Together, we handle every stage of the sourcing process: from insights and ideas through to realization, production, quality assurance and delivery.
What you'll do
Our paid internship program for Singapore residents offers insight into where a career at Lidl & Kaufland Asia could take you. You will be matched with a buddy for the duration of the three-month program and offered the opportunity to participate in skills-based and behavioral training courses. Training will be available on the job and will be tailored to the team you are placed in. Our internships offer competitive pay and benefits and are based in our office at Mapletree Business City. Internships may be available across all departments.
What you'll need
Our internships for Singapore residents are open to university and polytechnic students from Singapore who have not yet graduated. To be considered, you will need to be expecting a 2:1 degree or higher or a GPA of at least 3.0 and have an interest in working within the dynamic sourcing industry. Applicants with background in the following disciplines are welcomed to apply: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Analytics, Manufacturing, Apparel/Fashion Design, Textiles, Engineering, Procurement, Retail Studies.
What you'll receive
At the end of this program, Interns will establish a strong internal network with fellow interns, col-leagues, and senior stakeholders across the business. They will also gain access to in-house training courses and be mentored by experienced teammates across various divisions.
